Last week Facebook launched a new distribution platform for new applications. Developers can add their applications to facebook and facebook will show these applications in the order of popularity. And this popularity ranking is pretty dynamic. Flixster was at the top in the morning, at 4 two hours before and no where in top 10 at present. This platform will provide a pretty strong viral component to new applications because a friend can see the application on your profile and he is taken to the application itself on clicking.

Suhas – I am not sure if it can be done. You might be able to see the traffic from facebook to your application but i don’t think there is any qualitative feedback flowing back formally.
