This is a draft report, but looks very interesting. I will re-read this in more detail soon.
China is now the world’s fourth largest economy and growing very fast. India’s economic salience is also on the rise. Together these two countries will profoundly influence the pace and nature of global economic change.

China is unlikely to become a democracy and India is unlikely to follow the Chinese model. I hope India learns from China as I am pretty sure that China will learn from India.
In my view however it is not India or China but rather India and China. I just returned from a trip to Europe and the prices in London were shocking. As long as cost differences persist I think it augurs well for the emerging world.
It is easy for Indians to blame politicians, bureaucrats etc. etc. but can the citizens play a more active role forcing change. I like Nishant’s idea of a Civic Space website. In my whitepaper on “Make India” I was trying to argue how social networking concepts could be used to create wealth for the entrepreneur and introduce positive change in India.
I remain very optimistic that good things will happen in India.
