Hi Folks…
Having worked in Delhi and also in Bangalore; I’ve seen many differences between the work cultures in these two great metros; and each city/region has it’s own advantages and disadvantages.
Am curious… and I seek comments… what’re the experiences that you (venture-woods audience) have had, working in different cities.
Good, bad, ugly… feel free write comments and share your perspectives…

Cool scene…
thanks people for the responses…
Personally I believe that the culture of a place determines people’s attidudes towards risk; towards conformity and the importance there-off and towards innovation (versus boss approval).
The culture of a place also determines people’s attitudes towards the importance they place upon crisis management versus the importance they place upon planning/age/seniority and insider knowledge.
In that respect; especially for a small guy hiring average employees and trying to face-off risk and build a big business– many of the indicators are more favorable in Delhi.
At the same time however, the market for people is more dynamic in bangalore– and because due to the sheer number of companies, there is more variance in the levels of technical skill at which people get categorized and therefore more attention is paid to finer details– it’s also true that from perspective of a individual who’s come from a small town to settle down and grow, in some ways bangalore has it’s advantages too… and a lot of what I said for bangalore holds for hyd too…
Just my views… and it’s been my pleasure to have shared your views and learnt your opinions.
Best Regards and feel free to mail me,
