10. Social Software

Are there any core technology focused Angel Investor/VC located in India for 6, 7, 9 above dealing with Early-Stage or Seed-Stage? (except Google, Intel or Sequia )

    Pradyot, not sure if the names you mentioned are focused on those three areas - any representative investments you think suggest that? From what I have seen, the focus areas and market maturity are very different in India, and hence from a VCs perspective, it doesnt make sense to focus on these (short of saying that they focus on 100 areas :))

    A topic off track !!
    Though there has been a discussion on Ycombinator in india in venturewoods earlier.But would like to know ,if somebody is intereted in replicating Ycombinator in india ? It wont take huge corpus to distribute money but would surely require good mentoring.If anybody can help with money or expert angel advice ,please mention.

    There is no Paul Graham of India
    So,I did got a feedback that strength of Ycombinator is Paul Graham .And nobody is able to recreate the magic of Paul Graham in india.But do we need this sophisticated model.Can not there me some differentiated way of bringing angels and entrepreneurs together?
